Eat Your Veggies Quilt Pattern

$20.00

This listing is for one, 29 page .pdf (electronic) pattern, ready for immediate download to your computer.

Even the pickiest of eaters can't resist these veggies no matter how hard they try, as this mixture is irresistible! Twelve different vegetable block varieties are featured in this pattern, including carrots, corn, eggplant, hot peppers, mushrooms, onions, pea pods, peppers, radishes. red beets, tomatoes and even turnips! Block sizes range from the smallest hot pepper at 3" x 6" to the largest eggplant at 6" x 12".

This pattern is designed for paper foundation piecing and contains illustrated, step by step instructions for paper piecing. Also included are instructions for cutting the sashing, assembling the 42" 54" quilt top and for finishing, from sandwiching to binding.

If you are new to paper piecing, I encourage you to give it a try. These patterns are relatively simple to paper piece and once you work through the first one, you'll wonder why you've waited so long! If however, you can't part from traditional piecing, you can still work from this pattern. Here's how:

Simply cut apart the pattern and cut out the corresponding fabric pieces adding a 1/4" seam allowance to each side. It is important to be accurate with this! Sew the pieces together with 1/4'' seams just as you would with any other patchwork. Be sure to sew the pieces together in order, i.e., start with piece A1, then attach A2, A3, etc.. Once you connect all of the A pieces, do the same with the B pieces. When the B pieces are all assembled, sew B onto A, and so on.

The block patterns, if used individually, would make great mug rugs, hot pads, apron pockets or pot holders. You could also use just a few of the patterns to make table toppers, wall hangings or tote bags for your gardening friends!

As soon as your payment is received, you will receive an email with a link to download the file directly to your computer. You'll still need to fill in your name and snail mail address on the purchase form however.

Please note that these patterns are for individual use and are not to be used for making items to sell.

Thank you and enjoy!
